Hi! My name is Juliet, I’m a senior in high school from New York, and a fellow co founder of EarthBurned. I’m so excited and proud to be part of this amazing organization. I’m part of my school’s cheer and track team, and am also involved in dance, A capella, Girl Scouts, student council, and the school musical. In my free time, I like to play guitar and crochet. I’m very enthusiastic about the amazing team we have here at EarthBurned, and can’t wait to see what’s next for us!

Hey, I'm Vale! I'm a fun, creative and open-minded person. I love meeting and working with new people. I would also describe myself as a determined and passionate dreamer. In my daily life, I try to follow the idea once expressed by Mahatma Gandhi – be the change you want to see in the world. My role in EarthBurned is to recruit, manage, evaluate, maintain and recognize a volunteer program that helps with everything!

My name is Cateyann Bernhard and I am one of the founders of EarthBurned.  I have worked as an environmental and social justice advocate throughout the duration of my high school career, interning with equity organizations such as the Anti-Defamation League and ERASE Racism and school environmental organizations such as Knights for Nature. My other experiences, such as in tutoring and museum work, reflect my dedication to providing education. EarthBurned is a continuation of my specific passion to provide youth with an international activist space, related community service and educational opportunities, and the community to develop a global perspective when it comes to intersectional issues. As a founder of EarthBurned, I am responsible for organizational outreach, social media and podcast management, as well as project creation and oversight. The EarthBurned community is consistently creative and endlessly passionate, inspiring me as an activist each day. In the future, I plan to pursue a career in neuroscience/criminology to directly tackle systemic problems in criminal justice, nationally and internationally.

My name is Kayla Schwartz, and I am a co-founder of EarthBurned! I have long been passionate about environmental and social justice issues. Through EarthBurned, I have had the opportunity to manage our incredible volunteers and help oversee projects, podcasts, and social media posts. Education is one of the most important aspects in the fight against climate change and EarthBurned has provided me this platform to meet many amazing activists from around the world. Outside of EarthBurned, I continue my activism locally through participation in clubs and classes such as Knights for Nature, Independent Science Research and Habitat for Humanity. Additionally, I look to help others within my community through tutoring, babysitting and volunteering at my local synagogue as an Usher during Jewish holidays. I also serve as the president of my town’s BBYO chapter for the 22-23 school year. Through BBYO I work to host events for local Jewish teens to connect with one another and form lifelong friendships. In college, I plan to major in biomedical engineering in order to  develop and innovate new technologies to improve healthcare so it is better and more accessible to all.
